Parks & Recreation Dept Events
City of Baneberry residents are invited to the Community Center for a Cinco de Mayo and Margaritas celebration!
Parks & Rec will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo* with traditional Mexican dinner dishes like enchiladas, beans, rice, and a nacho bar. Bring your own tequila – margarita mixers will be provided.
Kids are encouraged to participate in breaking open the Piñata – a traditional activity where a papier-mâché container is filled with candy.
*Cinco de Mayo, (translates from Spanish to English to Fifth of May) also called the Anniversary of the Battle of Puebla, is a holiday celebrated in parts of Mexico and the United States honoring a military victory over the French forces of Napoleon III in 1862.
