In September Companion Animal Rescue and Education responded to the scene of the Animal Control and Criminal Investigation Division seizure of 63 dogs in our county. Just a few weeks later, Hurricane Helene and the massive flooding event of our local rivers would increase the number of sheltered animals at C.A.R.E. again.
